Requirements for the role are: confident, resourceful, good communicator, good time keeper, hard working individual with a willingness to learn our software packages we offer. You will need an excellent understanding of all Microsoft products such as all Windows operating systems, SQL 2008-2014 , Word, Excel and Outlook. Microsoft Networking knowledge is also essential.
ROLE Development: Client training, Manual Writing, Software testing, Product design, Social media campaigns.

What will you be doing?
From the start of the role you will be part of the support team, helping our clients with our software packages through telephone and email support. You will be shown how our CRM system works and how to raise support tickets. You will be taught how to connect remotely to our customers to view their PCs and you will be trained on how to solve all types of queries. Every support job is unique which makes the role fun and interesting meaning no two days are ever the same. You will get to experience working in a professional environment providing you invaluable skills for any role even beyond working with Focus.
Duties you will get to learn and could be involved in include:
· Software support via telephone and email
· Software installations
· SQL queries and understanding of SQL Server
· Crystal report writing
· Problem solving
· Software testing
· Demos and webinars
· Time ups and software customisations
As your progress through the apprenticeship, your role will evolve, and you will have the opportunity to expand into further arears of the business that will mean you will be taught and will learn a wide variety of skills useful for all roles here and beyond.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
·13 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment
· Work-based training with your employer
· Day release during term time (approximately 1 day a week for 1 year)
· Approximately four on-site assessment visits per year
· Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
· Off the job training will count for at least 20% of an apprentice’s time at work
· Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths
· Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship
End Point Assessment:
· Work based project and presentation
· Portfolio based interview
